Urine samples delivered – all set for the health check!
Today we delivered urine samples to the vet. Two solid portions – handed over with precision, pride, and a generous dose of luck that it worked on the first try. The point of delivering them the day before the appointment was that if something looked off, we’d still have time for a second round today. But nope! We got the green light and a thumbs-up: both samples were usable. (Whatever usable urine really means… but we’ll take it as a compliment.)
So tomorrow the whole show starts: health check, blood tests, teeth cleaning and the full package. We’re crossing fingers, toes, and cat paws that everything looks good – and that our little furballs forgive us quickly after the sedation. They don’t always… it’ll probably be just as grumpy as the “pee prison” on Sunday.
Soon cat birthday! Jonatan turns 1
And as if that wasn’t enough excitement, a birthday is approaching! Little Jonatan turns one year old. A whole year since he joined the flock and made our world a bit sweeter, a bit more chaotic, and quite a lot furrier.
He’s sweet and gentle, currently in his “cat teenage phase,” but still an easy and harmonious soul to have in the group. And not least: Little brother Odin’s best friend and loyal sidekick.
We probably won’t manage a big celebration on the day itself, but we’re promising extra snacks – which is basically all a cat cares about anyway. Party later, treats now. Perfect.
Gift from Odin: a new family sign
Little brother Odin has already arranged a birthday gift, by the way. Not just for Jonatan, but for all three furry brothers! He went big (literally) and ordered a new sign that every functional home needs: a complete presentation of who lives here.
It was… slightly larger than we imagined. Big enough that it couldn’t be placed by the front door. So it ended up by the gate, like a majestic “Welcome to the Cat Collective” banner. A warning to mice, neighborhood cats, and maybe even unsuspecting passersby. At least the mailman can find us now – no doubt about that.
