To an art exhibition in Budapest

The last update we received from Marta Mus followed her journey to Rome, a rather exhausting trip. Ant this after arriving from Ukraine, there was barely a moment's respite upon her arrival at Tanya's studio in Vienna before they were off again.

After the Rome trip, Marta spent several days at Tanya's studio, collaborating with many others from Ukraine in an artistic collective.

Amidst papers and tools, Marta had her designated spot at the work table, observing as artworks evolved from mere sketches to finished masterpieces.

Although Tanya's dream of crafting more sculptures, akin to her renowned Odessa Cats project, remains unfulfilled for now, she continues to aspire towards it.

Many places boast their "famous" feline residents, each with its own unique quirks and charm. Tanya aims to immortalize their significance through her sculptures. Below is a video of one such sculpture being unveiled in Odessa, marking the fifth out of a total of fifteen.

However, Tanya's artistic ventures continue to lead her to new destinations. Not long after her return, an intriguing invitation surfaced: a trip to Hungary and Budapest. Tanya was invited to showcase her art at a prestigious gallery, promising a grand and magnificent exhibition!

Instead of seeking new accommodations, Marta was graciously invited to join, an offer she couldn't refuse. With Tanya's penchant for surprises, Marta anticipated yet another enriching journey. And enriching it was indeed.

BRIDGES

Budapest, the capital, is divided by the Danube River, with its name itself reflecting this division into Buda and Pest. On the first day, after ensuring all was set at the gallery, Tanya led a sightseeing tour around the city. Budapest's many bridges symbolize its unity, and on this first day, Tanya extended an invitation to explore them, as depicted in the initial series of photographs.

PARLIAMENT

No visit to Budapest is complete without beholding one of the world's most iconic parliamentary edifices. Within such grandeur, a diminutive Marta Mus would inevitably feel inconsequential. Thus, a miniature replica outside suited Marta better, much to her preference. Secretly, she found it to be the finest, though she dared not voice it.

TRDELNIK

One cannot embark on a journey without indulging in the local cuisine. Food culture, after all, is among the most crucial aspects of travel. Have any of you heard of a delicacy called TRDELNIK? Tanya treated Marta to a generously-sized portion, almost on par with her own stature, and it proved to be an exquisite delight!

For those curious to learn more about this renowned confectionery, here's a comprehensive guide:

If any of you have sampled this delicacy, or perhaps even attempted to recreate it, why not share your experience by leaving a comment on Jesperpus's Facebook page? For if anyone can master this treat, Marta would be delighted to pay a visit!

But don't assume that concludes our exploration of Budapest. There was yet another excursion and fresh encounters awaiting Marta and Tanya as they returned for the exhibition's closing day. Stay tuned for a forthcoming report on their latest adventure!
