My second hosts

After visiting Møre og Romsdal, I headed north to Fosen in Trøndelag.
Specifically, to three kind cats and their cat mom who have followed the guys in Tigerskogen for many years. I had many experiences with them throughout the Valentine's Day weekend.

When I arrived, I was invited to a proper fishing party with the cats. This house is home to three cats and their cat mom. Nemi is the oldest cat at 15 years old, but she is very active despite her age. She has traveled quite a bit with her cat mom, but now she enjoys being at home the most. She was once in a cat competition and even won a prize.

Oreo is 10 years old and is easily frightened. He doesn't venture outside much as he has sensitive ears to scary sounds. Nemi and Oreo are a bit like Tuppen and Lillemor (little brother).

Matmom adopted Gråpus a few years ago. He was almost like a wild cat, but now he's a real teddy bear. He has a big appetite for food and likes to follow his cat mom wherever she goes. Only Gråpus knows his age, but the rest of the family thinks he's getting up there in years. He must have been the world's cutest kitten, and it's hard to understand that anyone has been mean to him... It took a while to gain Gråpus's trust, but he must have seen something good in his cat mom. Nemi and Oreo have accepted him as part of the gang. Gråpus also has his own cat house.

These three cats have become a nice trio. The cats live near the coast, in a small village, no wonder they have the opportunity for a grand fishing party, but the big city is just a stone's throw away. The cats and their cat mom live on an old farm, but there are only cats and dogs here. In the surrounding forest, there are squirrels, birds, deer, moose, and foxes. There are lots of mountains, high and steep mountains, and we're talking real mountains, not the small hills in Hedemarken. The forest and fresh nature mixed with local outdoor art, actually.

Right now, there is a lot of snow here, just like home in Tigerskogen, but I hear rumors that it's going to rain away.

I have been on a guided sightseeing tour with each cat. They each had their favorite places they wanted to show off, so we put on scarves and went out to explore the territories of Gråpus, Nemi, and Oreo, on skis, sleds, and horseback riding, no lazy cats here.

Out here, there is a unique monument on a hill, Fredsengel, which is a work of art by Lehna Edwall. It has been here since 2009 and has become a popular hiking destination. Fredsengel is the 13th angel in the world and the only one in Norway. Jesper and Kasper have probably never heard a peep about it, so I'll have to tell them when I get home.
So, if you stop by the Angel of Peace in Vallersund, which is a hiking destination, you will be able to find Marta Mouse's signature in the hiking logbook. Cool, right? The first mouse to sign a hiking book!!

Thank you so much for your fantastic hospitality and all the experiences, and for letting me come and visit. It was incredibly fun and the cats were wonderful! I had a great time!

Travel greetings from Marta Mouse, Nemi, Oreo, and Gråpus.

Now Marta has packed her suitcase and agreed with her food mother, Oreo, Nemi, and Gråpus where the next stop will be, and she's including some gifts for the next cats she visits... We're waiting in excitement!
