At the Arctic Circle town

First - a bit about the visiting city:

Marta Mus is visiting the Arctic Circle town of Mo i Rana. Mo i Rana is located in the Rana municipality and is the third largest city in Northern Norway. The city has a population of over 21,000 residents, while the municipality of Rana has over 26,000 inhabitants.

Mo i Rana is a young city with a desire to grow further. The city actively works to create an environment in which its residents can thrive, making Rana an attractive municipality to relocate to.

Mo i Rana is also a transportation hub for North Helgeland, with a railway, European road connections to the north-south and east-west, an airport, and one of the country's largest ports.

Rana's natural resources, including its proximity to mountains and the sea, provide excellent opportunities for recreation, hunting, and fishing year-round. Other attractions in Mo i Rana include Svartisen, Norway's second-largest glacier, Fageråsbakken, one of Norway's most modern year-round ski jumping facilities, and Plura Valley, a world-class underwater adventure and often considered a mecca for cave diving.

That was a bit about the town where Marta Mouse spent her vacation, but now onto the stay itself. Marta Mouse had a safe and enjoyable journey with the travel company Posten and arrived in Mo i Rana in a lovely little red car. After a short stay in the mailbox, she finally got to meet her hosts for the stay, Mia and Lea.

They had fixed and shined everything from the food bowl to the litter box, and especially the cat hotel before the much-talked-about guest arrived. They both love mice, so they were a little surprised when Marta Mouse didn't run away at first sniff, like the mice in Mo i Rana do.

After some adjustment, Marta Mouse got to enjoy a fish buffet and relax in Mia's fur belly. It was safe and cozy after a long journey all the way from Southern Norway. Mia was very focused on her evening wash, so Marta Mouse got her ears and scarf cleaned thoroughly.

Then it was May 1st, International Workers' Day. Mom in the house, came with both a flag and a camera, and we had to pose and smile. Lea thought it was unnecessary for Marta Mouse to be in the picture (she's a bit of a grump, that Lea), but eventually, mom was satisfied with the photo, and we continued our May 1st celebration.

There was actually another furry creature living in the house, and that was Sussi the dog. She was old and deaf but really quite nice.
Well, she did try to chase me a couple of times, but mom stopped her. We enjoyed the sun on the porch together.

Now, Marta Mouse has packed her bags and is ready for new adventures. We at the Mo i Rana "zoo" thank you so much for your visit and look forward to following you on your journey.

Furry hugs from Lea the grump, Mia the wash queen, and deaf Sussi.
