Marta Mouse is in Odessa.

Marta Mouse arrived in Odessa with a heart filled with excitement, her small suitcase brimming with curiosity and wonder. She had read stories and seen pictures of the legendary city, with its many sculptures of famous city cats, in Jesperpus and Kasper's 2023 calendar.

Upon arrival, Marta was greeted by Tilda, a cat whose aura exuded both elegance and a hint of mischief. Tilda, a native of the famous Moldovanka district known for tales of notorious gangsters, was a district steeped in history. With a twinkle in her eye, Tilda welcomed Marta into her cozy home. She regaled Marta with thrilling stories of Mishka Yaponchik, the local bandit, and the legendary exploits of the famous thief Sonya Zolotaya Ruchka—stories that had inspired and contributed to world literature, such as the novel "12 Chairs" by Ilf and Petrov, "Odessa Stories" by I. Babel, and more. This was where one could still hear the famous "Odessa dialect."

And surely, Tilda had inherited a daring and somewhat gangster-like character herself :)

"Welcome to Odessa, little friend," purred Tilda, "prepare to experience a side of the city that sings with charm and mystery."

Plans were laid out for strolls through bustling streets where echoes of past adventures lingered in the air. From the charming marketplaces to the hidden yet vibrant alleyways.
Perhaps there will be a visit to one of the fantastic sculptures of the cats as well.

Marta is likely to stay in Odessa for a few days, raising the question if she'd make it back home for Christmas.
