Finally Marta Mouse could visit the Odessa Cat sculptures!

Martha Mouse went on her first trip to Odessa accompanied by her host, Tilda the cat. Together, they visited a cat guarding the local university. Since it was noticeably colder in Odessa now, Martha needed a warm scarf.

The university cat, who "worked" as a mechanic, warmly welcomed the guest with great curiosity. He told her that he appeared here on the anniversary date—the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Odessa Polytechnic University on September 18, 2018. He enjoys observing students, and they often talk to him and consult him on scientific questions because he is also a science-minded cat.

Then Tilda suggested visiting the funny cats living next to the musical comedy theater. This cheerful trio, singing cheerful songs, can be seen from afar. The cats greeted the new listener joyfully and invited Martha to join them. They taught her traditional songs and sang beautifully together, brightening up the gloomy November day.

Not far from the singing cat trio, they had to visit Maurice the cat. This cat lives next to the Odessa Club, where various exhibitions and cultural events take place. Odessa residents travel, live, and work all over the world, but when they return to Odessa, they always come here to share their experiences and, especially, their new stories.

Maurice the cat had a good life here, on the windowsill, on a briefcase belonging to the famous humorist Mikhail Zhvanetsky. So, Martha Mouse got to listen to funny stories and was once again convinced that Odessa is a city with a special humor and atmosphere.

Towards the end of the day, Tilda and Martha went to the station to wait for the bus that would take them home, where hot mint tea and cake awaited them. But at the bus stop, they met a couple more cats from Odessa.

They lounged lazily on the parapet, watching passersby and catching the now rare rays of the autumn sun. This couple warmly welcomed Martha and invited her to relax a bit together.

Martha Mouse plans to visit more of the cats living in different parts of the city in the coming days and promises to bring a treat for them.

However, the weather has been wintry with a lot of snow in recent days, which is rare at these latitudes. Therefore, it's also important to ensure that all our neighbors are doing well.
